GCC Ambassadors Meet with British Home Secretary in London

London, August 25, 2022, SPA -- Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in London held a meeting today with British Home Secretary Priti Patel, at the Bahraini Embassy. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the friendship between the UK and the GCC member states. The ambassadors also praised the British government's decision to exempt GCC citizens from entry visas and to implement the new electronic travel authorization known as "ETA", as of next year. They also stressed the importance of the security and safety of GCC citizens in the UK, calling on the British Home Secretary to raise the level of security response to repeated incidents targeting Gulf citizens in the United Kingdom. The British Home Secretary expressed the UK government's interest in boosting the level of joint cooperation between the security services, expressing the UK's aspiration to push cooperation with the GCC in all fields.
