Cairo, August 04, 2022, SPA -- The Arab Republic of Egypt welcomed the extension of the truce in Yemen for another two months. In a statement issued today by Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt expressed its appreciation for the efforts exerted by the United Nations in this regard, and that the extension of the truce would contribute to reaching a comprehensive settlement of the Yemeni crisis, and support initiatives for a political solution, in a manner that preserves Yemen’s unity and independence, and preserves the capabilities of the Yemeni people and their aspiration towards security, stability and prosperity. --SPA 18:39 LOCAL TIME 15:39 GMT 0020 www.spa.gov.sa/w1769952
