Jeddah, July 24, 2022, SPA -- President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received here today Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha. The President praised the great role played by the OIC in leading efforts to promote the joint Islamic action and consolidate the spirit of Islamic solidarity, stressing his country's interest in strengthening cooperation with the OIC. For his part, the OIC Secretary General valued the active membership of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the OIC and its efforts in supporting the activities of the OIC and promoting the joint Islamic action through various initiatives, stressing the OIC's keenness to enhance cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the areas of the common interest. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common concern, including supporting peace and security in the countries of the region and the world. The meeting was attended by Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng.
