A 15-Hour Surgery to Separate Yemeni Siamese Completed Successfully in Riyadh

Riyadh, May 15, 2022, SPA -- In implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's specialist surgions have once again succeeded to separate the Yemeni siamese Yousef and Yassin, sons of Mohammed Abdulrahman, during a complicated non-stop 15-hour long operation in which 24 doctors specialized in pediatric neurosurgery, plastic surgery, anesthesia, nursing and techniciams, led by Dr. Mutasem Al-Zughbi took part, it was reported here today. The report was made by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), Head of the Medical and Surgical Team of Siamese Separation Operations, who confirmed that today's four-phase surgery is among the most complicated as the twins, who have undergone their second operation in this regard, are conjoined in several organs, thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his humanitarian deeds.
