GCC Secretary General: World Defense Show stresses Saudi Arabia’s international status, leading position

Riyadh, March 10, 2022, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf has praised the World Defense Show (WDS) and what it reflects of big efforts in implementing Saudi Vision 2030. These remarks were made during Al-Hajraf’s visit Wednesday to the first WDS, where he checked on the latest technological developments that the world has reached in operational compatibility throughout various defense sectors, which all revolve about the future of the defense industry. The secretary general expressed his admiration of the diversified contents of the show, which represent an ideal environment for communication and interaction among attendees with the aim of enhancing international partnerships in the fields of industry and innovation to support the transfer of technology, develop national efficiencies and localize military industries, which stresses the international status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leading position in this important sector. He also voiced pride in the Saudi efficiencies responsible for the show, which highlights the capability of GCC citizens’ and their abilities in organizing such global exhibitions.
