Riyadh, June 01, 2022, SPA -- The National Cybersecurity Authority has received a certificate of excellence during the World Summit on Information Society Forum 2022 (WSIS 2022) for the category of building trust and security while using ICTs, in recognition of its prominent role in empowering innovation and building up specialized national capacity in the cybersecurity field in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where its “cybersecurity challenge” initiative was chosen among excellent projects according to the opinions of experts and arbitration committees at the UN International Telecommunication Union (ITU). This excellence is a reflection of the authority’s efforts in training and building up specialized national capacity in the cybersecurity field, increasing the quality of national competencies in the field, realizing its targets to develop the cybersecurity sector, seeking to finding creative solutions to cybersecurity challenges in a way that contributes to creating jobs and increasing local content in the cybersecurity field to play a role in realizing national targets.
