Under Patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, PNU Prize for Women’s Excellence Honors Winners of Fourth Edition

Riyadh, March 08, 2022, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Dr. Hamad Al Al-Shiekh, Minister of Education, handed over today awards for winners of the fourth edition of the Princess Nourah Prize for Women’s Excellence. Dr. Maha Al-Mzeini won the award in the field of health sciences on women’s health; Dr. Manal Al-Kahtani won the award in the field of natural sciences on energy and renewable energy; Abla Al-Disimani for social works on women’s awqaf (endowments); Latifah Al-Tamimi for economic projects on entrepreneur projects that contributed to supporting inbound tourism, and Amani Al-Wheibi for art works on the Arabic calligraphy. The minister delivered a speech, saying: “I am happy to join your celebration in a prize carrying the name of the first Saudi woman that supported and encouraged Saudi girls to seek education, which is the Princess Nourah Prize for Women’s Excellence,” noting that it is the first annual award for the Saudi woman accredited by a decision of the Cabinet and received the generous support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The prize targets the distinguished achievements of the Saudi woman in the fields of knowledge and culture as well as all courses of social service.
