Tunis, February 10, 2022, SPA -- The Tunis-based General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC) strongly condemned the attempt carried out by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia to target Abha International Airport, Saudi Arabia, with a booby-tarpped drone, which was intercepted by the Saudi air defenses. In a statement, the General Secretariat of AIMC described the incident as a terrorist act representing a violation of international law, a war crime that requires accountability, and a clear evidence of the persistence of the Houthi militia in its hostile approach. The statement reiterated its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, supporting all the measures it takes to confront these terrorist attacks, defend its security and protect its civilian objects, and citizens and residents.
