Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs visits Istiqlal Mosque in Indonesia

Jakarta, March 25, 2022, SPA—Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh visited today the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the sideline of his visit, which came based on the invitation by the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. During the visit, the minister was briefed on the historical background of the Al-Istiqlal Mosque, then delivered a speech after the Friday prayers in which he conveyed the greetings of the Saudi leadership to the attendees, stressing that the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah, which previously printed around eight million copies of the Holy Quran distributed to Muslims across the world, is currently printing twenty million copies of the Holy Quran for distribution in the Two Holy Mosques and to all countries. The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance underlined that the Muslims are commanded to be merciful to each other and to all human beings and to be united and be advocates of goodness, mercy, and peace according to the divine approach and that they be on a moderate approach that revokes extremism and terrorism, and to preserve the religion, and to be a good role model in doing good and exhorting mercy and justice, wishing Indonesia prosperity and progress.
