Tunis, December 25, 2021, SPA -- The General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council has strongly condemned the Houthi militia's terrorist attack targeting Jazan city, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a projectile, which resulted in killing two people and injuring several civilians, describing it as cowardly. In a statement issued today, the General Secretariat said that this is a sheer criminal act added to the crimes of this Iran-backed militia, its flagrant violations of international humanitarian law, and its continuous threats to security and stability in the region. The General Secretariat of the Council considered this criminal act a war crime whose perpetrators must be held accountable, stressing its full support for all measures undertaken by Saudi Arabia to protect its civilian facilities, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents. The statement also commended the Saudi and coalition forces' role and efforts in dealing with these threats and confronting the terrorist acts carried out by this militia, expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. --SPA 20:44 LOCAL TIME 17:44 GMT 0029 www.spa.gov.sa/w1669794
