Riyadh, Oct. 03, 2021, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf stressed the importance of strengthening the GCC-French relations to serve the common interests and enhance the security and stability in the region. This came during a meeting held here today between the GCC Secretary General and the delegation of the French National Assembly (Parliament), headed by the Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and representative of Hauts-de-Seine's 12th constituency Jean-Louis Bourlanges. The delegation also included the President of the National Defense and Armed Forces Committee in the National Assembly and representative of Gard's 1st constituency Francoise Dumas and President of the Committee of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and the Armed Forces, Senator of Val-de-Marne Christian Cambon. During the meeting, they discussed the GCC-French cooperation and friendship relations, citing the necessity to work on strengthening them in various fields to serve the common interests, especially in the security, economic, cultural and scientific aspects.
