Soudah Development Company Joins UN Mountain Partnership

Abha, November 17, 2021, SPA -- Soudah Development Company today announced it had joined UN Mountain Partnership to realize its goals in developing the environmental sustainability, preserving natural resources and contributing to improving the quality of life in the location of the project to develop Soudah and parts of Rijal Almaa through exchanging opinions, resources and information with other members and building partnerships. The UN Mountain Partnership comprises more than 400 global members, including governments, government organizations, private companies, and civil community groups committed to improving the lives of local communities and protecting mountain environments. Soudeh Development is considered the first real estate development company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States to join the Mountain Partnership. Founded in 2002, the UN Mountain Partnership is a voluntary alliance of partners and acts like a tool and framework to enhance cooperation and commitment on the long term, and offers good opportunities to exchange results and network communication, in addition to starting new activities and enhancing existing activities with the aim of developing the living conditions of mountain residents and protecting the mountain environment around the world. Soudah Development Company CEO Husammeddin Al-Madani said that we seek, through joining the UN Mountain Partnership, to commit to preserving the natural, cultural and heritage components at the project’s location and contributing to improving the quality of life, and we are happy that Soudeh is the first mountain destination in the GCC to join the Mountain Partnership, and this membership is one of several strategic partnerships through which we seek to realize the project’s goals to contribute to the development of the local economy. Director of Environment and Wildlife at Soudah Development Company Srdjan Susic stressed that this partnership will help the company share the best international standards in excellence and governance, especially that sustainability is a main element within the Kingdom's vision for the future of the global tourism, where similar international partnerships enjoy a special importance for being able to reconstructing the sector and enhancing it after the repercussions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
