National Center for Wildlife, Soudah Development Release 15 Mountain Ibexes in Soudah

Abha, December 23, 2021, SPA -- The National Center for Wildlife, in cooperation with Soudah Development, has released 15 endangered mountain Ibexes in Soudah, as part of the cooperation program between the two sides to enrich the biodiversity in the area. This initiative is in implementation of directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to develop the environment, realize its sustainability and achieve the targets of Saudi Green Initiative, in addition to its being part of the center’s endeavors to increase the threatened wildlife and re-localize it in its indigenous environment across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is one of the Soudah Development to increase vegetation and wildlife in Soudah area and parts of Rijal Almaa. CEO of the center Dr. Mohammed Ali Qarban said that releasing the animals in the area is an extension of the center’s efforts to develop and implement national plans to develop the wildlife through the reproduction and re-localizing endangered species to restore the ecological balance to realize the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and in harmony with global efforts in preserving the environment. For his part, Soudah Development CEO Eng. Hussamuldin Al-Madani said that this initiative is part of Soudah Development’s commitment to applying ecological sustainability standards in the Soudeh Development Project and Rijal Almaa, stressing that protecting natural resources and improving the wildlife are among the priorities of the company. --SPA 13:04 LOCAL TIME 10:04 GMT 0011 www.spa.gov.sa/w1669089
