Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Goes Forward in Providing its Humanitarian Efforts to Needy Countries.

Riyadh, May 22, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that as the entire world is witnessing unprecedented challenges and crises, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is going forward in providing its relief humanitarian efforts to the needy and affected countries in the world. Such efforts reflect Saudi Arabia's noble stances and firm approach since its establishment until this prosperous era being led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and HRH the Crown Prince, the paper said. In this regard, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus commended the humanitarian efforts and unremitting support being provided by Saudi Arabia for Yemen, the paper also said. This came during a meeting held in Geneva between Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Al-Wasel and WHO's Director-General, the paper added. During the meeting, a number of issues and aspects of joint cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the WHO, in addition to the relief and humanitarian efforts in Yemen were discussed, the paper further added. Such commendations have obviously confirmed the pioneer role being played by Saudi Arabia in maintaining the security and stability of the region and the world, the paper concluded. In another context, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Indian Covid-19 variant has already found in 44 countries, including Britain, as the vaccination operations on the global level are still slow in many regions, especially low-income countries. International reports warn that the social and economic impact of Covid-19 pandemic will remain severe for many years, unless smart investments achieve a strong and sustainable recovery for global economy, the paper added.
