Riyadh, July 12, 2021, SPA – Saudi Electricity Company completed preparations for this year’s Hajj season through implementing several new projects in Makkah and the Sacred Sites with a value exceeding 480 million riyals and increasing preparedness level through assigning work teams spread in various areas of the holy Sites. Saudi Electricity Company Interim CEO Khaled bin Hamad Al-Gnoon noted that the new projects aim at enhancing the electric system, where all preventive maintenance projects were completed and all applications to deliver electric power to camps, facilities and public and private institutions were met in Makkah and the holy Sites, in addition to completing the replacement of all 7,785 mechanical gauges in the Sacred Sites with smart gauges.
