Tunis, Cairo, Sep 5, 2021, SPA -- Tunisian-based General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers condemned in the strongest terms the repeated terrorist acts carried out by Houthi militias, the latest of which was the launch of “booby-trapped” drones and a ballistic missile, towards the Eastern region and the city of Najran, which the Saudi air defenses and the coalition forces were able to intercept and destroy. The General Secretariat of the Council stressed in a statement today, the need to hold accountable the perpetrators of these terrorist acts, which are heinous war crimes, and renews its absolute support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to preserve its lands and facilities and the safety of its citizens and residents. In Cairo, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's launching of booby-trapped drones in a systematic and deliberate way to target civilian objects in the Eastern region, Najran and Jazan, which were successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Kingdom-led coalition forces. In a statement today, Al-Sumi warned against the continuation of the cowardly terrorist acts of the Houthi militia, which reflects its insistence on continuing its vicious attacks on the Kingdom, which are "war crimes", and rejecting calls to end the war in Yemen and reach a peaceful solution that ends the suffering of the Yemeni people. --SPA 03:51 LOCAL TIME 00:51 GMT 0002 www.spa.gov.sa/w1613535
