Saudi Press: Housing Programs Achieve Goals of Kingdom Vision 2030

Riyadh, Aug 20, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh Newspaper reported in its editorial that housing programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are achieving the goals of Kingdom Vision 2030. One of the most key goals of Saudi Arabia's vision 2030 is to raise the percentage of citizens' house ownership to 70 percent by 2030, the paper said. Real Estate Development Fund (REDF) has provided loans to 520,000 families, within only four years, including 103,000 loans provided by REDF in the first 180 days of this year 2021, the paper added. The statistics indicate an increase in the number of real estate loans during the first half of 2021 by 11 percent, compared to the same period of last year, the paper concluded. In another context, Al-Bilad Newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues implementing its renewable energy strategy in order to expand its economy. Saudi Arabia has made unprecedented steps in renewable energy production, promoting the concept of the circular carbon economy, as it adopted this concept during its presidency of G20, the paper added. In this regard, Saudi Arabia is seeking to localize the renewable energy sector, in addition to upgrading hydrogen production projects to be one of the famous global centers for this energy, the paper further added. Al-Yaum Newspaper highlighted in its editorial the speech delivered by Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi during a press conference yesterday, as he said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made great strides to confront the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic at all levels, as a result of the solidarity of society, in light of the unlimited support being provided by the wise leadership. --SPA 11:58 LOCAL TIME 08:58 GMT 0004 www.spa.gov.sa/w1604950
