UNESCO Continues Backing Saudi Draft Resolution to Hold G20 Member States' Meetings of Ministers of Culture

Paris, April 16, 2021, SPA -- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) member states continue to back up a draft resolution from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has been unanimously approved in December 2020. It calls for the continuity of convening the meeting of the ministers of culture, in the framework of the workings of the G20 member states' summit, because of the pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the world cultural respect. Following the Kingdom hosting of the 1st meeting of the ministers of culture of the G20 member states, presided over by Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, under the motto: Cultural Economy Revival, a New Model, Mexico stepped up to adopt a draft to play host to the international governmental meeting of the ministers of culture, from all over the world, set to take place, in 2022. --SPA 00:10 LOCAL TIME 21:10 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w1544507
