Washington, June 29, 2021, SPA -- US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that the United States of America has provided more than $436 million in additional humanitarian assistance to Syrians in both Syria, neighboring countries and host communities, indicating that it includes nearly $99 million in assistance to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a press release today, Blinken confirmed that this funding will support the provision of food, clean water, shelter, health care, nutrition, protection, education, and other forms of relief.
