Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia secures one million doses of the coronavirus vaccine for Tunisia

Riyadh, July 15, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a great history in providing humanitarian and relief support. Additionally, it is one of the leading countries in this field. The reports issued by the international organizations confirm the leadership of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in extending a helping hand and assistance to Arab, Islamic and friendly countries, to contribute to alleviating their suffering. In the same context, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has directed King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to urgently send medical aids to the Republic of Tunisia. The assistance includes securing 1,000,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccines, medical equipment and medical supplies to contribute to overcoming the COVID-19 repercussions, the paper added. This support affirms the Kingdom's keenness to give a helping hand to all countries. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is a pioneer in the field of humanitarian work, supporting countries around the world on the health, economic or social levels, the paper further added. The paper concluded that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a major partner in international development and its humanitarian and relief works, through KSrelief, receive a great support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Since the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Saudi Arabia has donated, through KSrelief, USD 713 million to contribute to combating the pandemic. In another context, Al Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has succeeded in facing the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic and moving forward to achieve the ambitious goals of Vision 2030. These goals focused on the optimal utilization of the Kingdom's material and human resources, supporting promising sectors, diversifying sources of income, doubling non-oil revenues, enhancing partnership with the private sector, focusing on the business environment, attracting investors, providing job opportunities for citizens and empowering women, which all eventually will lead to a vibrant society, thriving economy and an ambitious nation. The paper concluded that the international organizations have praised the acceleration of development, the financial transparency system, financial market reforms and the development of the business environment in Saudi Arabia.
