Tabuk, May 18, 2021, SPA -- The Red Sea company managed to return two worldwide recognized rare turtles to their natural environmental habitat in Al-Waqadi island following recovery, amid its initiative to protect rare turtles species in the project area. The company has found the two turtles which failed to dive, and after contacting the National Center for Wildlife, they decided to take the requirements towards their case. Consequently, the turtles were immediately flown to a specialized center in Jeddah for treatment and rehabilitation through a weeks-long remedial program. It is noteworthy that a program for tracing rare turtles in the project area has been launched in collaboration with King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST) to understand the natural environment for the marine sites and creatures. --SPA 22:39 LOCAL TIME 19:39 GMT 0046 www.spa.gov.sa/w1559374
