Khartoum, May 26, 2021, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched yesterday the project to combat blindness and its causes in Sudan, during the period 22-27, May, 2021, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jafar and a number of Sudanese officials. The KSrelief's volunteer medical team began examinations at Makkah Hospital in Khartoum, where it conducted 600 examinations and performed 62 surgeries to remove cataracts, in addition to distributing 62 medical glasses and 248 eye drops. The team also examined 1,560 patients at Omdurman Hospital and performed 198 surgeries to remove cataracts, in addition to distributing 198 glasses and 796 eye drops.
