Khartoum, January 19, 2021, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched here yesterday a new voluntary medical campaign to combat blindness and the diseases that cause it, in the presence of a delegation from the Sudanese Ministry of Health, representatives of the Kingdom's embassy in Sudan and a team from the KSrelief. The KSrelief's volunteer medical team will examine more than 15,000 patients, conduct nearly 1,200 surgeries, and distribute 3,000 prescription glasses and medicines for non-surgical cases. The campaign targets the low-income families and individuals who cannot cover the costs of their treatment in Khartoum, Omdurman and El Kalakla states. This campaign comes as an extension of the humanitarian and relief efforts, exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, aims to treat people with eye diseases, and providing them with the necessary medical care in a number of countries. --SPA 18:01 LOCAL TIME 15:01 GMT 0018 www.spa.gov.sa/w1487292
