Abha, November 5, 2020, SPA -- Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir region, has affirmed that the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always strives to be proactive in providing everything that contributes to preserving the health and value of the human beings. This came during the launch of the work of the "First International Conference on Technology in Neuroscience", through video communication, in the presence of the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah and the participation of a number of experts and specialists in neuroscience and artificial intelligence from Saudi Arabia, America, Italy, Britain, Switzerland, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, and it lasts for three days. The governor of Asir region thanked Princess Nujoud bint Hathloul bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Supreme Supervisory Committee of the conference, for establishing this international gathering despite the circumstances imposed by the pandemic, and working to organize it according to the available capabilities and possible ways. He also thanked all participants and sponsors for their support. The Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, delivered a speech in which he offered his thanks and appreciation to Prince Turki bin Talal for his continuous interest and continuous encouragement to establish such scientific events in the Asir region, and to provide all support and assistance for its success and the desired benefit from it. Dr. Al-Rabiah explained that the conference aims to shed light on the role of technology in treating and diagnosing neurological diseases and recent developments in the field, most notably: artificial intelligence techniques, robots and monitoring brain activity during surgeries and others.
