Riyadh, Mar. 17, 2021, SPA -- The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, presided over a meeting of the GCC working group, an affiliate of the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG), held today to prepare for the 27th session of ASMG. Chaired by the Director General of Frequency Spectrum Monitoring at CITC Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Abd Al-Qader, the meeting discussed several issues with the aim of uniting points of view of the GCC working group on the agenda of the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23), prior to being discussed at the 27th session of the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG). It is noteworthy that the WRC-23 is held periodically every three or four years, as it’s tasks revolve around reviewing and revising Radio regulations, and international treaties governing the use of radio frequency spectrum according to the agenda decided by the Council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which takes into account the recommendations issued by previous world radiocommunication conferences. --SPA 19:45 LOCAL TIME 16:45 GMT 0025 www.spa.gov.sa/w1526537
