Riyadh, February 14, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that Iran continues providing more support to its proxies and militias in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon in order to keep committing further criminal acts and terrorist attacks in a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian norms. The paper noted that in this regard, the Official Spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Brigadier General Turki Al-Malki stated that “Joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed on Saturday a bomb-laden UAV launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target Abha International Airport. The paper pointed out that many countries in the world, as well as international agencies have strongly condemned terrorist attacks on Abha International Airport. The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, has condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi militia’s return to targeting Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by using a bomb-laden UAV, the paper concluded. In another context, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that various and mega projects of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia' Vision 2030, being announced from time to time by HRH Crown Prince have succeeded in drawing locally and globally attentions due to their modern concepts that keep pace with developments. The goals of Saudi Arabia's vision 2030 are based on strong economic pillars to diversify income sources and reduce depending on oil returns, the paper added. In this regard, Shurayrah and its design vision are seen as the hub island of Res Sea Project announced by HRH Crown Prince, which reflects the great importance of the project in supporting the national economic, the paper further added.
