Riyadh, March 09, 2021, SPA -- Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has pointed out that there are many joint issues between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Malaysia that require cooperation and coordination including several areas among them economy, education, security, environment and Hajj and Umrah, looking forward to establishing a joint Saudi-Malaysian Coordination Council to achieve a higher level of understanding and relations. In an interview with Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he stressed the importance of relations between the two countries, looking forward to strengthening them in many fields, especially in technology. The Malaysian Foreign Minister noted that the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to the Kingdom reflects the depth and strength of relations between the two countries, adding that it proves our support for the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has unique strength and capabilities through its programs and strategic objectives to strengthen the Saudi economy, calling for the importance of the two countries' participation in all areas. He looked forward to further cooperation in economic affairs between the two countries, especially in the field of palm oil industry, which is critical to Malaysia. He said that COVID-19 pandemic has re-drawn the global scene, making states in need for coordination in all areas.
