Riyadh, January 23, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that spreading the culture of peace, tolerance, coexistence, respect for religions, protecting the human life and preserving its dignity, whatever its religious beliefs represents a fundamental pillar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm approach since its inception until this prosperous era, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH Crown Prince. The resolution rejects all speeches of intolerance and discrimination based on religion or belief and deplores violence against persons on the basis of their religion or belief, indicating that the freedom of opinion and expression imply responsibilities and duties in addressing all forms of intolerance and discrimination based on religion or belief the paper added. The resolution confirms that the terrorism and extremism in all their forms and manifestations cannot and should not be associated with any religion, nationality, civilization or ethnic group, the paper further added. The paper concluded that the resolution is an urgent need to strengthen international, regional and sub-regional cooperation aimed at supporting the national capacities of countries to push back the attacks against religious sites, calling on all member states to enhance education and build capacity, in order to counter incitement to violence by promoting messages of unity, solidarity and interreligious dialogue. --SPA 10:59 LOCAL TIME 07:59 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w1489094
