Riyadh, April 4, 2021, SPA -- The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has continued its plan to follow up on the application of precautionary measures contained in the aviation operation manual in airports and affiliated bodies, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. GACA's inspection teams began their inspection rounds today at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to ensure the commitment to applying operating guidelines in light of COVID-19 pandemic, and the adherence of using "Tawakkalna" application for airport workers. GACA also raised the capabilities of workers to evaluate suspected COVID-19 cases and deal with these cases at terminals, to ensure required conditions, monitor observations and prepare periodic reports related to the safety of travelers. GACA is keen to develop and improve the field of the aviation industry and provide the best services for beneficiaries of Saudi airports, competing with the world's airports, according to the best international standards. This contributes to improving services, facilitating travel procedures and reducing the time it takes travelers to complete the check-in procedures before boarding the plane by applying all COVID-19 preventive measures. --SPA 15:02 LOCAL TIME 12:02 GMT 0018 www.spa.gov.sa/w1535914
