Paris, Apr 13, 2021, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took part today in the activities of the 211th Session of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). UNESCO's opening sessions were virtually launched yesterday at the Organization's headquarters in Paris to adopt the draft of its Medium-Term Strategy for 2022–2029. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated with a delegation of 23 experts representing 12 national entities from the sectors of education, culture, energy, environment and technical and vocational training, in coordination with the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science which is headed by the Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan. On the occasion, Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz Al Muqrin, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the UNESCO delivered the Kingdom's speech commending the draft of the UNESCO Medium-Term Strategy for 2022–2029 citing the Kingdom's efforts to combat the effects of the global climate change and the Middle East Green Initiative launched recently by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
