Riyadh, June 24, 2020, SPA -- The General Secretariat of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) praised the kingdom of Saudi Arabia's decision to reduce the number of pilgrims this year, describing the decision as the right step in time to protect the pilgrims from COVID-19. The Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Tuwaijri confirmed in a statement issued by the secretariat that this decision is wise and correct by lowering pilgrims number and limiting it to the ones who are inside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is a successful step in dealing with the pandemic to prevent its spread. He added that this decision remains in line with the intentions of Sharia to establish Hajj and preserve pilgrims' health.
