Riyadh, November 02, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus shocked the world and inflicted heavy losses on world economies, however these challenges showed the ability of leadership in managing the crises. The newspaper said that Saudi Arabia led the presidency of G20 for this year with the highest performance standards, in terms of the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as in terms of the projects, initiatives and plans of this international group that actually controls 85% of the global economy. Saudi Arabia Presidency has followed a series of policies to achieve the objectives of the G20, the newspaper added. In the past months, the activity of the various working groups has increased and Riyadh has provided wide spaces for ideas, initiatives and proposals that support development prospects from the world, as this series of initiatives would become an integral part of the G20 for years to come, the paper further added. The G20 was able to allocate more than 11 trillion dollars to support the global economy, as these funds constituted the largest financial support in recent history. Saudi Arabia’s Presidency of the G20 has achieved a tremendous set of achievements in light of the outbreak of Coronavirus, as it has linked the world to projects that will be major axes in supporting social, development, humanitarian and global economic constructions. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed the citizen at the forefront of the priorities of its comprehensive development path and its sustainable goals, as its citizen is the most important wealth to build the present and to achieve the ambitious future of Saudi Arabia under its wise leadership. The newspaper said that Saudi Arabia has achieved unprecedented success in the last 10 years in terms of winning international prizes for its students, reaching 390 international prizes in various international competitions. The newspaper concluded that preparations continue for the 1st Global Conference for Giftedness and Creativity entitled "Imagine the Future", which Saudi Arabia will host next week under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
