Riyadh, May 11, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will organize the donors ’conference for Yemen in Riyadh on the 2nd of June, with the participation of the United Nations. The paper said that the conference will come as an extension of Saudi Arabia’s bright history in the fields of humanitarian and relief work towards countries and peoples in the whole world, and its humanitarian efforts and comprehensive development programs in Yemen. The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the top donor country to Yemen, especially in the past five years, and is still continuing its humanitarian and relief programs to Yemeni people through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) assistance, Saudi Reconstruction Program in Yemen, and the Coalition to Support legitimacy’s program to clear hundreds of thousands of internationally prohibited Houthi mines. Al-Yaum newspaper pointed in its editorial to the Yemeni human rights report that reported 22 civilians, including 7 women and 2 children, were killed in a bombing by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia on residential neighborhoods in the city of Taiz during the month of April, and the report documented the news of killing demining worker by a mine explosion planted by the Houthi militia, execution of two civilians during the period, and the death of a child as a result of torture by the militia. The paper said that these crimes reflect the ugliness acts committed by the Houthi gangs and their persistence to continue their terrorists. The paper concluded that the Iranian regime insists on supporting the Houthi groups in order to commit atrocities against Yemeni land and people; indifferent to the difficult and exceptional circumstances that Yemen and the world are going through due to coronavirus pandemic. -- SPA 09:12 LOCAL TIME 06:12 GMT 0003 www.spa.gov.sa/w1325805
