Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia's Decision to Hold this Year Hajj with Limited Numbers are Widely Welcomed by Islamic Countries

Riyadh, June 24, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues, at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia about limiting the pilgrimage of this year Hajj season for those inside the Kingdom within a specific numbers is a wise decision and appropriate to the current stage the spread of Coronavirus pandemic. The paper said that precautionary measures will be placed before and after the ritual performance to prevent the spread of the virus among the pilgrims during this season. The paper pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a rich accumulative experience in managing crowds since long years, and it has full ability to deal with the event of this year's Hajj season. The Kingdom’s decision was widely welcomed by the Islamic countries, considering this decision as a benefit for those wishing to perform the Hajj ritual, the paper concluded. Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that the extraordinary meeting of Arab League council at the level of foreign ministers, that was held at the Arab Republic of Egypt's request, confirmed the awareness of Arab countries about the danger of Turkish interference in Libya through spreading terrorists and weapons to achieve the goals of controlling Libya's oil and gas wealth.
