Riyadh, Oct 17, 2020, SPA -- The 7th Steering Committee for the Middle East of the GF-TADs Group of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), have nominated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Directorate of Animal Resources Services, at the Ministry of Environment, Water, to chair the committee during the next session (2020 - 2024) and supervises the implementation of its tasks. The tasks of the 7th Steering Committee are to strengthen the control and elimination of some transboundary diseases, in the region, implement the strategy of directing the activities of the Secretariat General, the specialized regional organizations and the regional support units, in addition to enhance OIE activities related to transboundary animal diseases. --SPA 17:24 LOCAL TIME 14:24 GMT 0013 www.spa.gov.sa/w1430780
