Riyadh, July 14, 2020, SPA -- Under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the council emphasized, in a decision related to its 51 ordinary session of the 4th year workings of its 7th convocation, on the Electricity & Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (ECRA) to coordinate with the National Water Company to develop a mechanism to deal with complaints and disputes among the company and the consumers, in order to realize promptness and accuracy and setting up another tool to tackle valuing vouchers of water consumption distribution for mule-units establishments, reasserting the consolidating (ECRA) regulatory role, through promoting transparency and accountability, and finally benefiting the public via reducing the cost of the services they are provided with, in a good quality and speed up issuance of the electricity law to meet the industry's goals in tandem with the aspirations of the Kingdom Vision 2030. The council also voted on a draft-law for consultations, in the economic, financial and administrative domains. On the other hand, the council called on the Capital Market Authority to cooperate with the General Authority of Endowment to set up and develop endowment related investment funds through revising laws and regulations to suit their characteristics. This demand was based on another request to the capital market to conduct a comprehensive study on the debt tools' market, to define the reasons of the feeble appeal to the small and medium size establishments on the offerings and reach solutions and mechanisms to deepen the market through diversification of financing and investing options.
