Jeddah, September 10, 2019, SPA -- The Royal Court issued today the following statement: 'Statement by the Royal Court' The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announces its condemnation and categorical rejection of the Israeli Prime Minister's announcement that he intends, if he wins the forthcoming elections, to annex lands from the 1967 occupied West Bank and considers this measure as totally null and void. The Kingdom also affirms that this declaration is a very dangerous escalation against the Palestinian people and constitutes a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law and norms, considering that such a declaration would undermine and reject any efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace as there is no peace without the return of the occupied Palestinian territories and the Palestinian people's enjoyment of their undiminished rights, stressing at the same time that Israel's attempts to impose a fait accompli policy will not obliterate the inalienable and protected rights of the Palestinian people. The Kingdom calls upon all states, organizations and state bodies to condemn and reject this declaration and consider any action resulting from it as void and has no legal effects on the historic and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. The Kingdom, while condemning and rejecting this declaration, affirms that the Arab and Islamic worlds preoccupation with many local and regional crises will not affect the status of the Palestinian cause among Arab and Islamic countries and peoples, and will not discourage the Arab nation - which has affirmed its desire for peace through the Arab Peace Initiative - in any case - from addressing unilateral actions by Israel and the ongoing attempts to change the facts of history, geography, and violation of legitimate Palestinian rights. In view of this, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia calls for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the level of foreign ministers to discuss this issue, develop an urgent plan of action and therefore review the attitudes towards Israel with the aim of confronting this declaration and addressing it and taking the necessary measures. --SPA 02:15 LOCAL TIME 23:15 GMT 0048 www.spa.gov.sa/w1169688
