EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini delivered a speech in which she expressed her appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts in serving Arab causes, including hosting the summit, which is held at a sensitive time. She affirmed the importance of developing solutions and dealing with the crises in many Arab regions so that people can live in peace and stability. Mogherini condemned the Syrian regime's displacement of its people and attacking them with chemical weapons. She praised the determination and courage of the Iraqi people in eliminating Daesh terrorist organization.
