Jeddah, Sha'ban 19, 1438, May 15, 2017, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pride for playing host to the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) premises, in addition to its affiliated agencies, especially the office of the permanent and independent Human Rights Commission, which he inaugurated today, adding that that reflects the keenness of the wise leadership of the Kingdom on providing it with all means that would bolster and consolidate joint Islamic action and enhancing it. In the presence of the Secretary General of the OIC Dr. Yusuf Al-Othaimeen, the Minister reaffirmed that Islam has called for preserving of the main five natural senses against violation and mutilation, in order that he may lead a secure and safe life and consequently, effectively contribute to building and protecting the society against any mischief and harm, pointing out that theses teachings are persuading us to come together and stand behind such a body, which we inaugurated here today, to enable it to do its best to carry set forth commitments and duties, out. For his part, Al-Othaimeen expressed thanks and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince for their strenuous exerted endeavors to defend right Islamic causes and maintain it unity, pointing to the Kingdom playing host of OIC, in general, and the newly inaugurated HR body, a fact that embodies the Kingdom's leadership keenness to back OIC up and promote human rights and basic liberties, throughout the Islamic world.
