Beijing, Jumada II 26, 1438, Mar 25, 2017, SPA -- Dangerous levels of carbon monoxide forced rescuers to halt their search for a missing worker on Saturday, a day after accidents at two neighboring gold mines killed 10 people in central China, state media reported. According to dpa, rescuers were using high-tech devices to try to locate a worker in the Qinling gold mine, where visibility was less than 1 meter, the Xinhua news agency reported. Eight miners died Friday after thick smoke filled a pit at the China National Gold Group near the city of Lingbao in Henan province. Nine people were being treated in hospital. Meanwhile, at a nearby gold mine on Friday, two miners died in a similar incident, Xinhua said. No cause was reported for either accident. --SPA 11:03 LOCAL TIME 08:03 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w361205
