Beijing, Shawwal 13, 1438, Jul 7, 2017, SPA -- Dozens of people are dead or missing in floods triggered by heavy rain in southern China, state media reported Friday. According to dpa, forty-four people were dead or unaccounted for after flooding hit Ningxiang County in Hunan province, the Xinhua news agency reported, citing local emergency authorities. Approximately 815,000 people, or 56 per cent of the county's population suffered property losses in the area's worst natural disaster in 60 years, according to Xinhua.
