Baku, 12 Sha'ban,1438 AH, 08 May,2017 , SPA -- Secretary General of King Abdullah International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue Faisal bin Abdurrahman bin Muammar and the United Nations High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Nasr co-signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two bodies here today. The memo called for exerting efforts to promote dialogue among followers of different religions and cultures, establish dialogue platforms, in areas of tension between various components of society to deter religious or ideological extremism, halt misuse of religion to justify violence and terrorism and to use international initiatives to support mutual cooperation.
