Munster, Dhu-AlHijjah 23, 1438, Sep 14, 2017, SPA -- Secretary General of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) Faisal Bin Muammar, participated in the International Sant'Egidio Meeting (Paths of Peace) inaugurated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Munster, West of Germany in presence of Niger's President, international organizations specialized in interreligious dialogue, religious and political leaderships. In his speech before the special session on discussing "challenges of coexistence", Bin Muammar called to activate dialogue between individuals, institutions and policy makers, especially in religiously diverse communities, in order to help the refugees for coexistence and understanding in their new communities in addition to dry up political and media sources of terrorism and extremism. "When we work in isolation, we will be able to see or solve a part of the problem. We have to be unified to defeat extremism, terrorism, poverty and hatred," he added, urging to redouble the efforts to promote cooperation in all fields towards common objectives. The Secretary General highlighted KAICIID achievements by presenting examples of successful dialogue experiences among individuals, institutions and policy makers.
