Cairo, Rabi'I 2, 1439, November 20, 2017, SPA -- Assistant Secretary General for Media and Communication sector of the Arab League Haifa Abu Ghazaleh stressed, during opening session of the 11th meeting of the Arab Information Committee of the Council of Arab Information Ministers held here today, the importance of the role of electronic media (E.media), for rapid receiving of information, exchange of experiences and awareness to confront terrorism. On the other hand, Ghazaleh recalled importance of the decision of the Arab foreign ministers on Sunday, regarding a paragraph banning satellite channels funded by Iran, which broadcast on Arab satellites, as it constitutes a threat to Arab national security, by provoking sectarian, sectionalism and ethnic strife. The session which witnessed participation of various member states' delegations.
