Cairo, Dhu-AlHijjah 21, 1438, September 12, 2017, SPA -- Riyadh Al-Malki, Palestinian Foreign Minister, called for putting a clear-cut Arab plan to boost the Palestinian diplomatic and political drive at the United Nations, UN Security Council and other world community influential forces, to coerce Israel to succumb to world peace will and pave the way for settling the conflict and end it through giving the Palestinian people their inalienable rights, including the right to establish an independent state with eastern Al-Quds as capital. In a speech before the Arab foreign ministers 148th session, Al-Malki said that the positions of the Israeli government, its systematic plans, continuation of settlement strategies and taking unprecedented escalation steps were collectively a huge obstacle in the face of efforts aiming to break the impasse currently marring the peace process in the region. He pointed to the danger engulfing Israel's practices in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa mosque aiming to change the legal and historical status of the holy Muslim place. He cited that the concerted move by the Palestinian, Arab diplomats and Islamic organizations and countries, to thwart the convening of the proposed Africa-Israel conference, formerly scheduled for Togo, next October, resulted in yesterday's announcement to indefinitely postpone holding the event. --SPA 16:59 LOCAL TIME 13:59 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w485857
