Yemeni PM meets with UN assistant secretary general for humanitarian affairs

Riyadh, Safar 22, 1438, Nov 22, 2016, SPA -- Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dughr met today with the UN assistant secretary general for humanitarian affairs Rasheed Khal Kov. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues pertaining to humanitarian assistance in Yemen, lauding the efforts being exerted by the United Nations to deliver relief assistance to the needy in Yemen. In remarks to state-run Yemeni news agency, bin Dughr lauded the opening of a bureau for the UN human and relief operations in the Yemeni interim capital of Aden, adding that the government would call on all diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Yemen to operate from Aden. He said war in Yemen would end once the Houthis and their supporters agree to implement the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the national dialogue and the UN Yemen-war related resolutions, particularly No 2216.
