Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Meets with UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen

Riyadh, Jumada I 03 , 1438,January 31 , 2017, SPA -- Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al Jaber has recently met with Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations for Humanitarian partnerships with Middle East and Central Asia Rashid Khalikov. During the meeting, Saudi Ambassador stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm approach in cooperation with the United Nations is not confined to Yemen only, but in all the places that need relief and support, pointing out that the aim of the meeting was to help the Yemeni people and support the United Nations organizations and their efforts relief. Ambassador Al Jaber explained that the adoption process of the Arab coalition's relief work is being smoothly and according to the agreed timings with the United Nations. Saudi Ambassador stressed that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, do not hesitate to provide support and assistance in any part of the world, pointing out that the Kingdom received over two million people from Yemen and allowed them to work within the Kingdom's territory, and the total amount of humanitarian assistance aid is $561 million with about 19 million Yemenis beneficiaries. For his part, UN official praised the Kingdom's efforts in supporting the relief and humanitarian work in Yemen.
