Riyadh, Rabi'I 7, 1438, Dec 6, 2016, SPA -- Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) has received recently here the members of the Saudi-British Joint Business Council, headed by Engineer Nasser Al-Mutawa from the Saudi side and Chris Annis Hopkins, head of the British side and a number of the Council's members. During the meeting, Prince Sultan bin Salman welcomed the members of the Council, appreciating their visit to the Commission and paying attention to projects pertaining to tourism and heritage. He also asserted the importance of deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Britain and their excellence in various fields, including economic and heritage areas, and the keenness of the leadership and officials of the two countries to develop these relations and build on their strong foundations. For his part, the Chief of the British side, Chris Hopkins confirmed that the tourism sector is one of the most prominent sectors on which the Council concentrates because of the importance of this type of investment, and due to the fact that tourism projects are more sustainable areas, hailing what the tourism sector represents of economic importance globally, and what the Kingdom witnesses of development in the tourism and hotel sector, in addition to the major economic opportunities in the heritage sector, which is now classified as globally within the sectors of considerable investment and development revenues. --SPA 11:52 LOCAL TIME 08:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w284183
