Senior Scholars Council Calls for helping Rohingya Muslims

Riyadh, Ramadan 8, 1436, Jun 25, 2015, SPA -- General Secretariat of the Senior Scholars Council has reiterated the contents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's speech on the circumstances of Rohingya Muslims, which was delivered in front of the UN Human Rights Council The Council's Secretariat called on the Muslim world, its governments, peoples and institutions to contribute to the lifting of the human sufferings experienced by Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, and to use all legitimate means to stop the campaigns of violence, murder, rape, forced evacuation of the population, their persecution and ethnic cleansing as well as their non recognition by the Government of Myanmar as citizens. It praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's allocation of fifty million dollars to help the Muslims of Rohingya to be distributed by Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the earliest opportunity. --SPA 14:00 LOCAL TIME 11:00 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
