South Africa: 5 dead in crash of ambulance aircraft

JOHANNESBURG, Dhu-AlQa'dah 1, 1436, Aug 16, 2015, SPA -- A private medical emergency service said all five people on board an ambulance aircraft were killed when it crashed while transporting a patient from Namibia to South Africa. According to AP, the emergency service, E-med Rescue 24, said in a statement that the plane crashed Sunday in the Tygerberg Nature Reserve outside Cape Town. The statement said the crew was transporting an 80-year-old patient accompanied by his daughter. The plane was expected to land at the Cape Town International Airport. The E-med Rescue 24 statement said the patient, his daughter, the pilot, co-pilot and paramedic were all killed in the crash.
